HostDesk Koli Texts is the text message program of Superhost Depot, Inc. dba HostDesk (thehostdesk.com, El Monte, CA). HostDesk texts people only after they opt in. Texting is always optional, and consent is not a condition of purchase. This page shows every way to opt in, what we send, and how to stop.
1. Web forms: an optional, unchecked box
Our Get Started form and our Free property report form ask for a phone number so we can follow up on your request. Texting is a separate choice: a “Text messages (optional)” box that starts unchecked. The contact and consent part of each form looks like this:
When the box is checked, the form response stores the consent, the phone number and the time. HostDesk account sign-up and account settings use the same kind of optional, unchecked box.
2. Phone call: a spoken yes
When someone calls Koli, HostDesk's AI concierge, at +1 (855) 212-4853 or (855) 212-4853, Koli asks before texting anything:
- Koli, on the callI found 3 homes for those dates. Can I text these to this number?
- CallerYes. (or: “Text me the link.”)
A text is sent only after the caller says yes or asks to be texted. The number, time, Koli's question and the answer are logged with the call. A “no” means no text.
3. Texting us first
If you text (855) 212-4853, we reply within that conversation only.
What we send
- Replies from Koli, HostDesk's AI concierge, to questions you ask
- Approvals, updates and reminders about your property, bookings, guests and work orders
- Account and onboarding notifications, such as your Get Started request or free property report
